The Integrated Circuit Project Worth of 12.8 Billion Yuan Landed in China Sci-Tech City (Miangyang)

On July 9, Mianyang Municipal People¡¯s Government and Rofs Microsystem (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony in Chengdu, marking the official landing of the integrated circuit project with a total investment of 12.8 billion yuan in Mianyang.

Located in Youxian District, the Rofs (Mianyang) Micro system project mainly produces FBAR filter chips. The project will be constructed in two phases. After the project is put into operation, no less than 11 billion FBAR filter chips will be produced, with an annual output of about 15 billion yuan and 3000 jobs available.

With the technological support from the micro electronics laboratory in Tianjin University, Rofs Microsystems (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. is the first producer of FBAR (Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator) in China. The company¡¯s products are widely used in different areas in IoT, such as cellphones, wearable devices, automobiles, smart home appliances, drones, and 5G communication infrastructure, the use of ¡°China chip¡± in military products. The products of the company enjoy huge demand and broad prospect in the market.

Shortly after the Municipal Investment and Promotion Bureau obtained information about the project on December 22, 2017, the municipal government has paid great attention to the project. And the Municipal Investment and Promotion Bureau has immediately conducted matchmaking work withYouxian District. 41 rounds of negotiations finally led to the an agreement on the project investment.

As we all know, the integrated circuit industry is known as an industry with high added value, high technology, strong competitiveness and huge output value. It has always been a key industry whichhas caught the very attention and great support from the nation for the sake ofits strategic significance. After the introduction of the project from Roft, Mianyang will make a breakthrough in the integrated circuit industry,

Currently, Mianyang has introduced and established the 6th generation AMOLED (flexible) production line of BOE in Mianyang, which totaled an investment of 46.5 billion yuan, and HKC¡¯s production line of the 8.6th generationthin film transistor liquid crystal display, which totaled an investment of 24 billion yuan. The investment and construction of Rofs project will improve Mianyang¡¯s electronic information industry chain and help Mianyang develop a complete industrial ecology with key display devicesand integrated circuits of the terminal products as the core products.
