Liu Chao Meets with Guests Coming for the 3rd Cross-Strait Cultural (Lei Zu Culture) Exchange Event

On 25 March, Liu Chao, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, met with Lin Jun, a former chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Li Huidong, vice chairman and secretary of the Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang, Li Zhaoling, vice chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and Liu Yiqin, chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese in Sichuan province, Zhang Xiqing, executive deputy director of the Chinese Yanhuang Culture Research Association, Zhang Buwang, and other honored guests. They will all participate in the 3rd Cross-Strait Cultural (Lei Zu Culture) Exchange Event and the 2018 (Year of the Dog) ancestor-worship ceremony.

Liu Chao welcomed Lin Jun and other honored guests on behalf of the municipal party committee and the municipal government. We have closely followed the guidelines from Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and made advances in driving forward the economic and social development in Mianyang in recent years, which laid a solid foundation for the development in the future, Liu said. He sincerely hopes that the guests will continue to care about and support Mianyang and invite more enterprises to visit and get to know more about Mianyang so that they can seek opportunities for cooperation and start businesses. He also hopes that they will spread the city's famous culture such as Lei Zu culture and Wenchang culture, and dig deep into Mianyang's rich historical and cultural heritage to promote economic and cultural development, working with Mianyang to bring more mutual benefits for both sides.

Lin Jun and other guests expressed their congratulations on the achievements in economic and social development of Mianyang. They said that they will make efforts to invite more enterprises to invest in Mianyang so as to make positive contributions to the development of China Science and Technology City (Mianyang).
