To date, an investment of 4.529 billion yuan has been made for the construction of the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway, accounting for 11% of the total estimated investment of the project; It is scheduled to make a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan for its further construction in 2018, of which Mianyang plans to make a total investment of 3 billion yuan within the city. At the end of the year, the accumulated investment is expected to reach 8.872 billion yuan, accounting for 21.7% of the total estimated investment.

The Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway is the most important expressway in the actions of overcoming difficulties in Mianyang¡¯s traffic construction for this year. At present, a toll station and two separate interchanges are under construction along the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway LJ32 contract section at Taiping Town of Jiangyou. Going through the toll station and the two separate interchanges, drivers can start their journey by taking the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway. So far, more than 30 construction machines and nearly 100 construction workers have worked hard even on holidays. The construction of the LJ32 tender has progressed rapidly. So far, the clearing of the ground, the construction of the bored piles and other basic constructions have been completed. The construction of the overpass has now started to ensure the completion of the main project of Qinglian Interchange before the 2019 Spring Festival.

At the construction site of the LJ33 tender of Longfeng Town, the project of Jiangyou service area is under construction. It is Mianyang¡¯s first service area of along the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway. ¡°We first built a service area project in order to build a mixing station and a steel processing plant here and then to prepare for the subsequent pavement construction and the construction of the super-massive Fujiang Bridge.¡± Ge Yunfeng, the chief engineer of the LJ32 tender, said. The super-massive Fujiang Bridge he mentioned is a key and difficult project of the tender. The bridge spans more than 1,000 meters and it is difficult to construct. It is planned to be fully constructed by the end of March.

According to the briefing, at the end of November in 2017, 24 civil engineering construction units along the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway will enter the site. The construction of the resident site and the temporary construction of the mixing station, steel processing plant, and access road are also being carried out. The construction of all is planned to be completed by the end of March of 2018.

To date, the main hole of the Baima Tunnel (with a total length of 26,013 meters) has been excavated 3,633 meters as a controlled project of the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway, accounting for 13,97% of 26,013 meters of the main hole's length. The accumulated footage of the second lining is 3026 meters, accounting for 11.63% of 26,013 meters of the main hole¡¯s length. 367.26 million yuan of investment in cost of construction and installation was completed (22.484 million yuan in the LJ8 contract section and 142.42 million yuan in the LJ9 contract section), which accounted for 20% of the contract price of 1853.7 million yuan.

In 2018, the investment in the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway is expected to reach 4.8 billion yuan, with 35% of the subgrade, 5% of the upper part of the bridge, 50% of the lower part of the bridge, 15% of the tunnel excavation, 13% of the second lining of the tunnel, and 10% of greening completed. At present, in accordance with the work requirements of ¡°Completing the construction earlier, more efficient and effective¡±, the Mianjiu Company has carefully sorted out the goals and tasks, divided it into each construction bid section, and signed a target responsibility statement with each participating unit so as to ensure the completion of the 2018 investment mission. With the establishment of quality engineering as the starting point, the Mianjiu Company has formulated standardized construction manuals and related regulations, and implemented standardized constructions such as project temporary construction, production of prefabricated components, various processes of constructions, management of project personnel, to name but a few. It    has also guided on-site construction in strict accordance with the standardization guidelines and carried out strict inspection, evaluation, awards and penalties.

It is known that the Jiuzhaigou (Gansu-Sichuan border)-Mianyang highway is located in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture and Mianyang of Sichuan Province. The route starts from the vicinity of Qinglong Bridge (Gansu-Sichuan border) of Guoyuan Town, Jiuzhaigou County, and ends at Zhangjiawan, Donglin Town, Youxian District, Mianyang. It has an important position in the national and Sichuan road network. The total length of the route is 244.026 kilometers, and the bridge-crossing ratio is 81.50%. There are 17 intermodal interchanges along the route and 6 service areas (parking areas), with a total budget of 409.7974 billion yuan.
