Mianyang Airport Officially Starts to Use QR Code for Excess Baggage Charging

Abstract: As passenger flow volumes have been increasing rapidly at Mianyang airport, it has installed POS machines at the Excess Baggage Counter of NO. 2 check-in machine to make it more convenient for passengers to pay for excess baggage and to better meet the pluralistic demands of passengers to pay. These machines allow passengers to pay for excess baggage through WeChat QR code, Alipay QR code, bank cards (including credit card) and so on. After installation and debugging, they have been officially put into use recently.

Notice of excess baggage charges:

1. Different airlines have different limits for dimensions, weight and free baggage allowance of carry-on baggage. Passengers may visit airline¡¯s official website or dial official telephone number for counseling. Please do not refer to the information provided by a third-party platform.

2. The excess baggage rate of domestic flights is calculated at 1.5% of the total fare of economy class per kilogram, and the unit of account is yuan. Different Airlines have different rates and methods of calculation for excess baggage. Passengers are required to comply with the requirements of different airlines.

3. If you cancel your flight and take out your baggage, you can get a full refund at the strength of your receipt at the charging counter.
