Introduction: Mianyang Municipal Development and Reform Commission announced that Mianyang will seek central funds for 13 projects from the investment budget for the social services projects at the provincial level. The total investment is expected to be RMB 550.01 million, with central fund of RMB 145.98 million.

These projects will help further improve our social service system, infrastructures for social service and promote the standardization of public facilities. It will also help improve the social services and provide more convenient and effective services for the local people.

Mianyang continued to make efforts to seek funds for the projects and many social service projects have received great support from the national and provincial government. In 13 projects that have been funded from the central budget, a total amount of RMB 16.88 million was granted to social service projects and will be used for social services for the elderly and people with disability. A total amount of RMB 49.90 million was granted to the education and modernization project, used for the construction of compulsory education schools and the secondary vocational schools. A total amount of RMB 7.2 million was granted to the public sport project, used for the construction of standard football fields. A total amount of RMB 32.4 million was granted to the national health protection project, used for the construction of hospitals at county-level. A total amount of RMB 17.6 million was granted to the cultural tourism improvement project, used for the construction of the giant panda national park.
